Tea Tree Oil
With antiseptic, antifungal, and antibacterial properties, tea tree oil is one of the most popular at-home solutions for skin tags. Dip a cotton ball into a small amount of water and add three drops of pure tea tree oil. Massage the mixture over the skin tags twice a day for six weeks.
If you cut the air supply off, the skin tag cannot survive. Putting a piece of duct tape over it for about two weeks makes it fall off naturally. The thought of walking around with duct tape on your face or in a noticeable area might not be appealing, but you can get the same results with a tight-fitting bandage.
Apple Cider Vinegar
One of the best at-home remedies for skin tags is apple cider vinegar. The acidic properties are safe enough for your skin but powerful enough to break down the cell wall of skin tags. Like the tea tree oil, dip a cotton ball in the vinegar and apply it directly to your skin tag. Leave it on for a few hours before rinsing it with warm water. Keep up this process for about a month.
Baking Soda and Castor Oil
Mix two parts castor oil with one part baking soda to create an at-home remedy for skin tags. Rub the paste directly onto the skin tag and cover it with a liquid bandage overnight. Rinse with warm water the next morning and repeat this for another two weeks. Castor oil is rich in vitamins and nutrients, which is ideal for rejuvenating the skin. Remember, a little castor oil goes a long way and absorbs into the skin quickly.
A wonderful antioxidant, vitamin E helps renew skin cells. Rub vitamin E oil on the skin tag and cover with a bandage for about eight hours. Continue this process morning and night for at least two weeks to get rid of the skin tag and rehydrate your skin.
Another strong antiseptic, oregano oil may heal skin tags quickly. You should mix it with a carrier oil such as coconut or olive because of its potency. Mix three drops of oregano oil with five drops of another oil. Test a small spot on your skin before rubbing it all over. When you apply it to the skin tag, let it dry and rinse it off with warm water. Do this multiple times a day for ten days.
Like apple cider vinegar, lemon juice has acidic properties, and it’s the citric acid that removes skin tags. Cut a lemon in half and rub the fleshy part onto the spot. For people with sensitive skin, lemon juice may be too powerful.
With antibacterial, antifungal, and antimicrobial capabilities, garlic cloves are perfect for skin tag removal. Apply a thin slice of garlic onto the skin tag and cover it with an overnight bandage. Or crush the cloves into a paste and then secure it with a bandage. In the morning, rinse with warm water. The skin tag may fall off in a few days.
Onion Juice and Salt
Another at-home remedy for skin tags is onion juice, and adding salt to the mixture will speed up the healing process. To extract juice from an onion, slice it, sprinkle it with salt and leave it in a bowl overnight. Pour the liquid into a container and dip a cotton ball into it. Rub the juice on the skin tag and let it dry for half an hour. Rinse the spot with warm water. Continue this treatment three times a day for at least two weeks.
